CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. -- The future of the coming Canandaigua Finger Lakes Resort is signed, sealed, and moving forward with new partners.

Property owner Dave Geneco welcomed Christa Construction and Morgan Management on board in a deal announced on Thursday. The team is working to bring 164 hotel rooms, 22 for sale condos, a spa, and outside amenities including docking slips to the waterfront resort by next fall. A welcome plan for residents.

"It’s an area that's been of some concern for the residents of the city and to know that it's going to move forward, I think, is very positive," said Canandaigua Mayor Ellen Polimeni.

"We feel it's one of a kind. It's a great location. We have great partners behind us, they're great guys, but this is what we do. We develop and redevelop real estate and build from the ground up," said Robert Morgan, Morgan Management CEO.

The Christa-Morgan partnership has seen success in the past. They worked together on The Strathallen in Rochester
