NORTH CHATHAM, N.Y. -- Several crews from Columbia and Rensselaer County responded to a fire on Bunker Hill Road.
Most of the fire has been put out. Crews are now just working to put out some hot spots.
Firefighters said they received a call about a structure fire at 21 Bunker Hill Road around 3 p.m. Upon arriving to the scene, they saw a barn fully engulfed in fire.
Firefighters say that fire then spread to the house next door.
Five crews from Rensselaer County and three from Columbia County responded.
The good news is that no one was injured in this fire. However, the barn was a total loss.
Firefighters also say the neighbouring house suffered some damage -- one room was gutted towards the back and smoke and water damage throughout the house.
Crews are working to determine the cause of the fire.
