ADAMS, Mass. -- Massachusetts State Police and other police agencies in Berkshire County are following up on new leads in the Lewis Lent case.

Officers are searching the Glen area of Mount Greylock in Adams this week.

Lent confessed to killing missing Westfield teenager Jamie Lusher in 1992.

A few years ago Lent told investigators he left the boy's body in a pond in Becket but an extensive search turned up no evidence of that.

Lent pleaded guilty to the 1990 kidnapping and murder of 12 year old Pittsfield boy Jimmy Bernardo.

He also confessed to killing 12-year-old Sara Anne Wood a few years later.

Lent is facing life sentences for both the Wood and Bernardo murders but he is not being prosecuted for Lusher's murder.
