A city police union has approved a new contract.
The Sergeants Benevolent Association and Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a deal in February.
The contract is retroactive to 2011 and provides close to 4,600 members with an 11 percent pay raise over seven years.
On Monday, the SBA ratified the new contract, which is scheduled to expire in 2018.
The agreement came after a long period of tension between the New York City Police Department and City Hall.
The city says members voted to approve with a 71 percent majority.
Four out of five of the city's major police unions have ratified contracts with the de Blasio administration. Only the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association has still yet to reach a deal.
