The MTA is closing down two stations on the 3 line in Brooklyn for five months for major renovations.

Starting Monday, 3 trains will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions.

Crews will be installing new lighting, better platforms, enhanced safety features, and upgraded communications.

Free shuttle buses will be running, and the stations are expected to re-open in September.

After that, the Saratoga Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue stations will close for renovations, followed by Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road and Junius Street.

The New Lots Avenue station will also be renovated, but will remain open.

The entire project is expected wrap up in July of 2016.
