GREECE, N.Y. -- The owners of 35 Domino's franchises across New York state, including the owner of six locations in Rochester, the Finger Lakes and Western New York, have been ordered to pay restitution to settle charges they violated wage laws. 

According to the Attorney General's Office, owner Mark Gaisser will pay $120,000 to employees at his pizza shops in Batavia, Brockport, Canandaigua, Geneva, Long Pond Road in Greece and Culver Road in Rochester. Phone calls and messages left for Gaisser ere not returned.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said together, the owners admitted to violating minimum wage, overtime and other labor law protections, and have agreed to pay $970,000 in restitution.

Schneiderman said the Domino's pizza corporation needs to have increased oversight of franchisees' pay practices.

The state began its investigation in 2008.
