Backpack with Meth Making Materials Found at Cornell Uni­versity

ITHACA, N.Y.--- Cornell police recovered a backpack filled with items used to make methamphetamine on the Cornell University campus.

According to university officials, it was found in a common area of Risley Hall on Tuesday morning.

State troopers and hazardous material experts were called in to remove the contents.

Cornell officials say someone came forward and took responsibility for the backpack. That person is being interviewed by investigators.
