Man Charged With Em­bez­zling from Baseball Club Due in Court

PENDER COUNTY, N.C. -- A man accused of stealing from the Topsail Baseball Club is set to appear in court Thursday.

Thomas Dematteo, 46, was arrested in August and charged with embezzlement. Authorities say he stole $30,000 while serving as the president and treasurer of the club.
