CHARLOTTE - I started this post with the words "Carolina Panther," in front of Thomas Davis. That's a quarter in the jar from me.

A self-imposed fine for falling into the trap of routine.

'Carolina Panthers' and 'Thomas Davis' have been synonymous for 11 years.  That partnership came to an end following the 2018 season, and now, Davis will sports the lightning bolt logo of the Los Angeles Chargers.

His base, however, remains Charlotte, North Carolina. He calls it his "forever home."

Davis and his Defending Dreams Foundation will be holding their big weekend in the Queen City May 18 and 19. A football camp for kids will be held at Garinger High School on Saturday, with the golf event at Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation on Sunday.

The football camp registration is closed; however, Davis says space remains in the golf tournament on May 19.
