RALEIGH, N.C. -- North Carolina's season ended with a bang in Chapel Hill on Saturday mainly due to the churning legs of NC State running back Reggie Gallaspy. His fifth touchdown of the day would prove to be the game-winner in overtime and it would lead to a brawl between the two rivals.

  • Today, the ACC dropped down their own hammer by laying out suspensions for both teams.
  • For the Tar Heels, Dominique Ross, Patrice Rene, J.K. Britt and Jeremiah Clark were all given public reprimands and half game suspensions.
  • As for the Wolfpack, they will be without Freddie Phillips Junior, Tyler Jones and Justin Witt for one half as well.

Today, the ACC dropped down their own hammer by laying out suspensions for both teams. For the Tar Heels, Dominique Ross, Patrice Rene, J.K. Britt and Jeremiah Clark were all given public reprimands and half game suspensions.

As for the Wolfpack, they will be without Freddie Phillips Junior, Tyler Jones and Justin Witt for one half as well. The suspensions will be for each team's next game and for Carolina, that won't be until their season opener with South Carolina in 2019.

The Pack have ECU this Saturday and Head Coach Dave Doeren addressed how it will effect their game plan going into their regular season finale. Doeren says, "Well it's not ideal. Obviously losing your left tackle and right tackle is not ideal. But we'll find a way and fortunately they're allowing me to split the suspensions up if I want to so it may be a first half, second half deal. We don't have great depth there but I know our guys will, staff-wise, put together a good plan and it's a "next man up" opportunity for somebody."
