The Demon Deacons saw freshman quarterback Sam Hartman throw for a pair touchdowns, and running backs Matt Colburn and Cade Carney post 117 and 116 rushing yards, respectively, but in the end, the Eagles offense was too much.

Brown threw touchdown passes of 27, 35, 29, 71 and 40 yards, as he and the Eagle receivers were able to find single coverage, as the Demon Deacons were doing all they could to neutralize Dillon on the ground.

The teams traded first quarter touchdowns, and after Boston College took a 14-7 lead in the second stanza, the Demon Deacons turned in a special teams score, when Malik Grate covered a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown. Wake would take their first lead of the game 4 minutes and 42 seconds later when Hartman hit Sage Surratt on a five-yard touchdown pass, to put the Deacs up 21-14.

Hartman would finish the game 20 of 45 for 214 yards and the two touchdowns, but was also intercepted twice.

Wake Forest will host #8 Notre Dame next Saturday, while Boston College takes on Purdue out of the Big Ten conference.
