RALEIGH, N.C. – The new year begins  “Veganuary.”

Veganuary is a new craze in which people give up eating meat for the month of January.

For many, trying the diet for a month isn’t a big deal, but doing it long term takes more consideration.

“You need to have a plan of action. When I'm eating a banana, I know I'm getting potassium. When I eat an avocado, I’m eating healthy fat. I'm getting good fat,” Yah-I Ausar of Vegan Flava Café said.
