TRIANGLE, N.C. – With this weekend being the weekend before Columbus/Indigenous Peoples’ Day, traffic is expected to be a pain all throughout the state.

In the Triangle, a festival on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill will clog roads near UNC through the afternoon. It’s the “Festifall” Arts Festival and it’s happening 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Down the street in Durham, traffic is expected to be bad in and around the Duke area as the Blue Devils take on Georgia Tech in their homecoming game. The game begins at 12:30 p.m. but fans and alumni will likely cause traffic to be a concern for most of the day, especially on Highway 15 and the Durham Freeway.
