RALEIGH, N.C. -- Work begins Monday on Falls of Neuse Road. The city's resurfacing the street from Townfield Drive to Capital Boulevard.
- Falls of the Neuse Road will have resurfacing from Townfield to Capital Boulevard, expected to last through end of May.
- Lake Wheeler Road between Maywood and Centennial will be closed for repairs, lasting up to 12 weeks.
Most of the work will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., but there will be some days when the work will happen from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Construction is expected to last through the end of May, if the weather permits.
Drivers who usually take Lake Wheeler Road during their morning or evening commutes - will experience some delays beginning Monday as well. Lake Wheeler Road between Maywood Avenue and Centennial Parkway will be closed so crews can repair a sinkhole and replace the storm water pipe.
The closure is expected to last up to 12 weeks. Detours are in place.
