Monday started on a delay as it was the first day the school was back in session since last Wednesday's gas explosion.

No one was hurt, but the school released early due to its proximity to the blast.

Several students said they are proud of how strong the student body is following the tragedy.

"I'm proud of the students for being able to come back, kind of trying to find a way to be resilient and try to find a way to help each other out because like I said it was a pretty scary and traumatic experience," said student Demar Johnson.

Counselors were on hand Monday to speak with students and staff.
