FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Three soldiers from Fort Bragg are recovering after an apparent parachuting accident in Florida.

  • Three soldiers were injured parachuting in Florida.
  • They are from Fort Bragg.
  • Their names and conditions remain unknown. 

Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue says they were called to Homestead Air Reserve Base, where the team winters, early Tuesday morning for a report of three parachutists down.

Two helicopters flew the victims to an area hospital.

One fire official described the response as a “traumatic injury call.”

A base spokesperson says the victims are members of the U.S. Army's parachute team, the "Golden Knights" on Bragg.

Two of the soldiers are listed in critical condition.
