WILSON, N.C. -- A pack of puppies are nursing back to health after they were rescued from a home in Wilson Thursday evening.

  • Volunteers with The Maggie Society, Canine Rescue, Rehabilitation and Education found the pups in a home that was getting demolished.
  • The president of the society says the owner of the home was demolishing it with the dogs inside.
  • The dogs' mom has been saved.

Volunteers with The Maggie Society, Canine Rescue, Rehabilitation and Education found the pups in a home that was getting demolished.

Volunteers stood in front of the home Thursday to prevent the demolition.

So far, the volunteers were able to save three of the puppies found beneath the floor. The mom has also been freed.
