After a few days of dry weather and moderating temperatures, our rain chances increase for the end of the week.

With milder temperatures over the next several days, comes a very good chance for rain.

Due to saturated grounds, melting snow and ice, along with anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of rain, there is a possibility of flooding. A Flash Flood Watch will be in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon for most of central and eastern North Carolina.  Localized flooding may occur in some areas. We'll be watching the radar closely.

Clouds will increase through the night with rain chances increasing by early Friday morning.

Rain will continue through the day on Friday and into Friday night.

Due to the size and movement of the storm system, clouds and showers will remain over the state on Saturday.

We may see a shower chance early Sunday with some clearing possible late Sunday afternoon.
