RALEIGH, N.C. -- Temperatures start to rise for our Thursday, but rain chances also go up.

There will be more clouds than sun, with highs in the mid to upper 40s in the Triad, upper 40s to low 50s around the Triangle, and mid to upper 50s for the Sandhills. Thursday night, most of us should stay above freezing, with lows in mid to upper 30s. Friday is a rainy day. Expect scattered showers in the morning, with widespread rain through the afternoon.

A few showers could linger on Saturday, before drying out on Sunday. Temperatures stay seasonably pleasant in the low to mid 50s. Sunny and dry weather for the start of next week.
