We saw more clouds across North Carolina on Wednesday but we didn't see any precipitation.

We will continue to see more clouds tonight and this will hold temperatures up just a little. However, most areas will still slip below freezing. From the Triangle, north and west, there is a chance for re-freeze, especially on secondary roads, neighborhood streets, bridges and overpasses.

We may see a little more sun Thursday morning before clouds increase again on Thursday afternoon.

After temperatures go above freezing on Thursday, temperatures are expected to remain above freezing for the next five to seven days. Meaning milder temperatures ahead along with "we'll be thawing out".

Rain chances increase by Friday morning and we may see lingering showers into the start of the upcoming weekend.
