JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. -- Multiple schools in Johnston County have had to close at the last minute due to power outages. 

The school sent out a statement Thursday saying, "North Johnston High, North Johnston Middle, Glendale-Kenly Elementary and Micro Elementary schools are all currently without power and heat. School will not be in session at these sites today, Thursday, Nov. 29. Buses will not run these routes. Parents and guardians are asked to pick up their students. Buses that have already run are being held at the schools."
