The stars took part in a high school acting workshop at the Carolina Theatre Wednesday morning. They met with students to talk about the industry, more specifically, how to stand out in an audition.

“It can be tough really. A good thing to remember it's part of the job. Ninety-five percent of the actor's job is the audition,” said Elijah Malcomb, who currently plays John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the Broadway play.

Students performed their monologues for the cast and then received feedback. They say the experience was well worth it.

“They said I should incorporate a bit of joy in it which I thought was really interesting because I wasn't doing it up there. I think it adds a lot to it,” said Maddie Brigman, 16, who preformed a song from “Rocky The Musical.”

Hamilton is currently showing at the DPAC. The show runs until December 2.
