Since September 1, this has been the warmest fall on record for the Raleigh area.  Most days in October have featured well above normal temperatures.  That is changing though with near to slightly below average temperatures forecast for Friday and the weekend.

The weather will really be almost perfect for the next few days for outdoor plans like the State Fair or if you have to clean up debris left behind after Michael passed through the area as a tropical storm Thursday.

We will see sunshine all day Friday with highs ranging from around 70 in the Triangle to the mid 70s in the Sandhils.  Mostly clear skies Friday night will allow temperatures to drop to the upper 40s and low 50s for late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

Saturday will be another mostly sunny day with highs topping out just in the upper 60s to low 70s.   Temperatures will then drop to the upper 40s by early Sunday morning.

Sunday will be a partly cloudy and dry day with highs again in the upper 60s to low 70s.
