CARY, N.C. -- In about two weeks, five adorable dogs will be up for adoption by the Triangle Beagle Rescue.

Five pure bred beagles were rescued from the meat trade in China and flown to the United States thanks to a brand new international partnership between the local group and an organization in England.

They will be in foster homes until they've been vetted, microchipped, and spayed and neutered.

"He wouldn't have a life over there and what life he knows was probably all in a crate, so now he'll get to experience being a dog," said Michelle Mitchell, dog foster parent.

"Oh my God, it's great. It's so great to see, you know, their waggy tails, and you can tell that they're bonded as a group," said Dan Savarese, dog foster parent.

The adoption process with Triangle Beagles organization includes an application, phone interview and a home visit.
