WAKE COUNTY, N.C. -- A construction worker is dead after an accident at a construction site in southern Wake County. 

• A construction worker died near Garner Thursday morning.
• A large piece of equipment rolled into a ditch, pinning a worker.
• Identity has not been released. 

Officials say a piece of equipment used for paving and rolling turned over into a trench Thursday morning, pinning someone in that trench.

The Department of Labor is investigating the incident. 

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released to the public.
