One more cold morning to deal with before a warm-up begins that will take us into the weekend.

Gusty northwest winds on Wednesday brought in cold air across the Tar Heel State. Clear skies and diminishing winds overnight will make for a cold start Thursday morning as temperatures bottom out in the mid 20s to low 30s.

A warm-up will begin Thursday afternoon with the help of ample sunshine to push afternoon temperatures to near 60 to 65. More sunshine and warmer for Friday.

The next couple of days will be breezy at times with wind gusts up to 20 to 25mph possible Thursday afternoon.

Clouds on the increase Saturday, chance of rain Saturday night but most of Sunday looks dry but most of Sunday looks dry.
