In addition to honoring and remembering the late great basketball coach Jim Valvano, V Week also remembers some other legends in the business like Craig Sager, the legendary basketball sideline reporter and personality who recently lost his battle with cancer.

They're incorporating Sager's unique one-of-a-kind style during Craig Sager Style Day, a time when NBA players, television personalities, and others wear colorful clothing, capturing Craig’s signature style.

The V Foundation is also raising awareness and research for cancer in dogs through the WeRateDogs ‘h*ck cancer’ Campaign. The campaign is meant to drive awareness of the V Foundation’s canine comparative oncology initiative.

The foundation says nearly a million dogs are treated for cancer each year in the United States and many of their characteristics are similar to those in humans. Veterinary medical centers are now teaming up with leading cancer research centers to help dogs and humans beat cancer.
