RALEIGH, N.C. -- Beloved Holiday Characters that span multiple generations are soaring off the screen and onto the stage, just in time for the holidays. We're talking Santa, Mrs. Claus, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, and the well-lit reindeer himself in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical.

Spectrum News was lucky to have two of the show’s stars swing by for an In Depth interview. "Hermey the Elf" played by Sean Michael Jaenicke, and "Snowken" played by Jack Mainsbridge chatted with anchor Caroline Blair about their performances.

Based off the classic animated TV special by the same name, the musical is bringing a movie so many of us know and love, to life on stage. The often difficult to recreate animated characters are portrayed through abstract costumes and even the use of life-sized puppets, creating a whimsical winter wonderland. But, this is also a show with rich messages of acceptance, tolerance, and how it's okay to be different. This will certainly be a musical that old and young alike can relate to.

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical, is on stage November 26 through Christmas Eve at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Art's, Fletcher Opera Theater.
