RALEIGH — A group in North Carolina is helping people in tough situations. NC Med Assist says no one should have to choose between putting food on the table and purchasing necessary mediation. But that’s happening daily in our state.

Spectrum News anchor Caroline Blair sat down with NC Med Assist’s Kristin Young for a look at how they’re working to help the uninsured across North Carolina.

NC Med Assist helps give out millions of dollars of mediation each year, and a lot of the money stays in the local community. They recently held their "Pancakes and Beer 5K" where they helped raise thousands of dollars for their cause. This helps them better serve rural counties and regions throughout North Carolina through their mobile free pharmacy.
