The T-birds are on a 15-game winning streak and leading league by an impressive 30 points. Bringing in a enforcer to steady the roster Carolina signed Spectrum News sports director Mike Solarte for a one game contract.

The forward will hit the ice next Saturday for the game against Mentor. Solarte once played hockey for his college club team. Last season, the Chicago native was a guest coach and will be on the bench for the game on Friday against second place Watertown.

Tune into Chevrolet Sports Night to see Solarte in action and stay tuned because General Manager Scott Brand expects a big performance from our sports director and may offer more if Solarte has a good showing in his one game stint.
