NORTH CAROLINA -- After Saturday's cold front, a cool and dry air mass is covering the Carolinas today. Expect seasonable temperatures through a beautiful, sunny day. Highs for the Triad will be near 50 degrees and in the low to mid 50s for Triangle and the Sandhills. Winds will remain breezy through the early afternoon. Some gusts may be as high as 20 to 25 mph.

With high pressure moving in, skies will remain clear tonight as lows rest in the low to mid 30s. That will lead to a chilly start to our Monday. Temperatures will be slightly warmer tomorrow compared to today. Rather than highs in the low to mid 50s, afternoon highs Monday will be in the mid to upper 50s.

Our next rain maker will move in early Tuesday. We'll deal with a cool rain for much of the day before a cold front moves through. The front will likely sweep by late in the afternoon, bringing an end to the rain for most of the the area just in time for the evening commute.
