NORTH CAROLINA -- Warmer and more humid conditions on the way as we head to the first day of autumn.

With dew points on the rise, we will not be seeing those fall-like morning lows of the past few days. Autumn officially begins at 3:30 am Monday morning and for the first week of the new season we’ll be dealing with a warming trend that will take us through the workweek with highs around 90 at times.

A cold front will slide through the area Tuesday, but with limited moisture just a few clouds are expected. Highs will cool a little for Tuesday but still be running well above normal.

Not only warm, but dry weather will be with us as rain chances are slim through next weekend.
