ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. -- Reidsville Rescue Squad strongly believes a tornado hit a Rockingham County neighborhood Friday.

A tornado hasn’t been confirmed yet, but rescuers say the damage was laid out in almost a swirl pattern that they say looks like a tornado ripped right through. One neighbor heard there was damage at his home, but couldn’t get to it because it was blocked off.

"I’ve got a garden and some chickens. The chicken pen has been smashed and my garden has been torn down, but I don’t think my house got messed up none," Reidsville resident Nash Wood said.

Just a few houses down from him, a tree fell on a home with seven kids inside. They are all OK.

In Greensboro, one man was driving down West Market Street when a tree fell on top of his car. He did get a few minor scrapes and his dog was scared, but both he and his dog are fine.
