Ebay announced they chose Greensboro as their fifth Retail Revival city in February, and accepted more businesses in the triad than they did with previous cities.

Each business gets a year of personalized, one-on-one training through the platform.

"We're basically helping sellers get started on eBay. That's everything from creating their listings, to thinking about how they communicate the value of their products to customers, and then learning about different tools that eBay has to help them grow quickly," Renee Paradise said. She's the senior director for fashion at eBay.

Art Nading and his wife have owned The Extra Ingredient for over 30 years, but applied to the program to expand their reach.

"I think the customers now are looking at multi media and different ways of experiencing us. I'll always love the brick and mortar part of myself, but I think we have to be part of this new world too," Nading said.

The goal of the program is to let local businesses create a worldwide reach.

The previous participants have already done over $4 million in revenue in a year.
