BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Alamance County's health department says a fox that bit one person in the Twin Lakes community has tested positive for rabies.

  • The fox came in contact with several people 
  • The person who was bitten is receiving treatment
  • Alamance County saw five cases of rabies last year

The fox came in contact with several people in the Calvin Street area on January 5. The person who was bitten is receiving treatment.

The health department says to report any wild animals acting strangely and to keep your pets vaccinations up to date.
