Clear skies and dry air will allow temperatures to drop into the 20s by Friday morning so most of us will experience below freezing temperatures overnight. Those of you out shopping for those early bird specials better bundle up. Winds will be light, but it will not take much of a breeze to knock wind chill values down to around 20 degrees.

Sunny skies are on tap for Friday, but highs will be below average once again in the mid to upper 40s.

Moisture will begin to return to the area Friday night in the form of increasing clouds, then rain will track from the southwest to the northeast towards daybreak. Areas near the Virginia border may see the onset as freezing rain, but little if any, issues are expected as temperatures will be hovering right around freezing. Rain likely for most of Saturday, then will clear out quickly Saturday night making way for nice weather for Sunday.
