NORTH CAROLINA – Two North Carolinians are suiting up to entertain fans around the world with the Harlem Globetrotters as the team enters into its 93rd year.

The rookie class, consisting of 10 players, will be traveling for the 2019 Fan Powered World Tour. They are expected to swing through more than 250 markets throughout North America.

Dexton “Bounce” Crutchfield of Greenville is bringing his unique talent for hopping over just about anything. He joins the team after his collegiate career at Iowa Western Community College, where he was on the track and field team. Crutchfield jumped his personal best at 7.55 meters this year in the NJCAA Division I Outdoor Championships.

The 5’8” athlete is also known on social media for making jumps over roads, cars and vending machines.

 

Craig "Hi-Rise" Hinton got his name for his dunking skills. The Winston-Salem native graduated from Appalachian State University.
