Police say a 14-year-old Welburn Middle School student took an activity bus from Andrews High School, Tuesday morning.

Guilford County school officials tracked the bus before a school official was able to stop the student.

Lieutenant Cheeks says that's when they got the call. Once on the scene, at some point the juvenile took off on foot but was eventually caught.

Police charged the juvenile with larceny of a motor vehicle, trespassing, as well as resisting arrest.

Guilford Count Schools issued a release stating:

“An activity bus that was reported missing earlier this week was recovered within the hour without any damage. The investigation is now in the hands of the High Point Police Department, and it would be inappropriate for us to comment further. We are grateful that the situation ended without further incident.”
