NORTH CAROLINA -- Cell phone carriers are offering waived and free services to those affected by Hurricane Florence.

Carriers include Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile.

Verizon is saying "We've Got Your Back" by giving postpaid and prepaid customers who reside in the areas most impacted by the storm free calling, text and data.

From Sept. 12 through Sept. 25, Spring will waive call, text and data overage fees for Sprint customers in the affected areas.

AT&T plans to provide unlimited talk, text, and data for wireless and PREPAID customers in areas most affected, and the same for T-Mobile customers.

T-Mobile is also offering "Text to Give" to help those those impacted:

  • To donate $10 to the American Red Cross, text FLORENCE to 90999
  • To donate $25 to Save the Children, text HURRICANE to 20222
  • To donate $10 to United Way South Carolina and support Hurricane Florence relief efforts text FLORENCE to 501501
