WINSTON SALEM, N.C. -- A local fire station has been hit by a car.

Officials reported the accident at Station 11 in Winston-Salem shortly around 1:30 p.m.

Several people were injured and taken to the hospital. There's also some damage to the building.

The station is on Waughtown Street, close to the intersection of Reynolds Park Road.
