We have a wedge, or cold air damming setup in place around the region today. The result is a chilly, damp day with some light rain or drizzle at times and temperatures holding nearly steady in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Lows will then head into the low to mid 30s tonight.

A nice warm-up is then on tap for the remainder of the work week. Highs Wednesday will warm into the mid and upper 50s, and a few passing showers will be possible.

Then our temperatures really crank with highs Thursday and Friday in the low to mid 70s. Thursday should be dry, and then some shower chances return later Friday into Friday night.

There remains uncertainty with our weekend forecast. Initially, it appeared a cold front would clear to the south of us for the weekend. However, it is possible that front will get hung up close to the area, resulting in a continuation of clouds and shower chances through the weekend. We will continue to fine-tune the forecast moving forward.
