GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Police in Greensboro responding to an assault report discovered one man shot to death and another person injured.

It happened around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 3000 block of Ingleside Drive.

Police say 28-year-old Lamar Islam Nevius of Greensboro was declared dead at the scene. 

Thirty-five-year-old Osberry Diles of, Greensboro, was taken to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. There was no word on Diles' condition.

No arrests have been reported.

Police continue to try to determine what sparked the shooting.
