CHARLOTTE -- The state is shutting down the Primrose School of Ballantyne immediately for a history of noncompliance.
It's just days after a former teacher there was arrested for molesting children.
CMPD arrested Joseph Starnes earlier this week after two young boys came forward saying they were molested by him.
Days later two more boys came forward.
The N.C. Division of Child Development and Early Education investigated the school and sent a hand-delivered letter on Thursday morning to the school saying it needs to shut down by day's end.
Primrose School of Ballantyne’s failure to immediately remove a safety threat posed by their employee, along with a troubling history of noncompliance, resulted in the summary suspension of the facility’s operating license.
The school could hold up to 186 kids.
