Nick LaGrange is an Indiana native. He grew up in the Lafayette area, and graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
During his college years, Nick interned at former CBS affiliate WISH-TV 8 in Indianapolis. He also worked as a Sports Anchor and Reporter for IUSTV, traveling with IU’s football and basketball teams.
Nick’s first job out of college was working as a Reporter at WEHT News 25 in Henderson, KY. Shortly after that, Nick became a Reporter at WFIE 14 News in Evansville, IN. After working in Evansville for about 2.5 years, Nick became an Anchor/Reporter at KVVU FOX5 in Las Vegas. Two years later, in August of 2016, Nick landed a job as the Weekend Evening Anchor at Spectrum News in Raleigh.
Nick has covered just about every type of story you can think of, in his time as a journalist. Some of his more memorable stories include covering the Boston Marathon bombing, the May-Pac fight at the MGM Grand, and being there for the reunion of a firefighter and the girl he saved 18 years before.
Nick is an Emmy-nominated reporter, and loves videography and cinematography. He’s also a big fan of Indiana basketball, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Indianapolis Colts. You might run into Nick on your local basketball court, at your local state or national park, or at your local gym working on his boxing technique.
