LAS VEGAS -- Steve Wynn, founder of Wynn Resorts, has announced that all 4,748 rooms in his flagship Wynn Las Vegas hotel with Amazon Echo devices.

With the addition of the voice assistant, guests will be able to control lighting, temperature, change channels on the TV - even open and close the curtains with just a vocal command.

"Alexa" will also be able to answer questions about the hotel, the Las Vegas area, and do many of the things the home version of the smart device can do.

Wynn says the decision to add Echo to the rooms was made from the desire for guests to have a more convenient way to control the comfort in their rooms and get information without having to call front desk staff.

"I have never, ever seen anything that was more intuitively dead-on to making the guest experience seamlessly delicious, effortlessly convenient, with the ability to talk to your room," Wynn said. "She becomes our butler at the service of each of our guests."

Echo is expected to become a standard feature in all rooms of the Wynn Las Vegas by Summer 2017.
