It has now been four years since the largest tornado outbreak since weather records have been kept in North Carolina.  Thirty tornadoes touched down across the state during the afternoon and evening of April 16, 2011.  Some of the hardest hit areas included Raleigh, Sanford, Fayetteville, and Jacksonville.
