CHARLOTE - The state has rested its case in the murder trial of Todd Boderick.
Boderick was accused of killing his six-month-old daughter Keyoni Boderick.
A Charlotte Mecklenburg Police homicide detective took the stand shortly after the trial began Tuesday morning.
On Monday the mother, Krishay Mouzon, who is also charged with murder, said she thought her daughter was only sick after leaving her alone with Boderick several times in October of 2012. She also said the baby didn't cry or open her eyes before she finally stopped breathing.
Mouzon is awaiting trial, and she did not make a deal with prosecutors in exchange for her testimony.
Boderick has told the judge he will not testify.
If convicted, he could face life in prison.
