Born in the Ukraine but native to Ohio, Lisa Line made her first move to warmer weather in 2007, kicking off her broadcasting career at WSVN in Miami. From there, Lisa moved to the West Coast for a six-year stint, reporting in Washington and Palmdale, California. In July 2018, Lisa made her way back east, officially joining the Spectrum News coastal newsroom. While still exploring her new home, Lisa considers the Southern hospitality to be the best part so far.
As a passionate journalist, the best part of her job is that every day is a new day, bringing new opportunities to start over and learn something new. Throughout Lisa’s career, she’s covered an array of meaningful stories. However, the stories she’s most proud of are the ones that have brought actual outcomes, such as her coverage that exposed a cover-up about water contamination leaks at Hanford, leading to public awareness and increased safety regulations. For Lisa, these are the stories that make the hard days worth it.
When Lisa isn’t in the newsroom, you can find her spending time with her husband and daughter, either cooking up new recipes, or enjoying a relaxing day by the sea.
