This Winston-Salem native has been proudly reporting for Spectrum News for over a decade. Bob Costner attributes his impressive stint with the Greensboro team to the fact that he gets to live in a region and state that he knows and loves. The wealth and depth of stories, along with the diverse natural beauty in the Triad and North Carolina is something he considers to be incomparable.

From multiple Associated Press awards, freelancing for various major news networks, to contributing to a  2006 Sundance Film, Bob is quite the decorated reporter. Throughout 30 years of reporting experience, Bob has covered an array of meaningful stories, including federal trials over North Carolina's voting changes. Bob has had the opportunity to interview a few people who've had an impact on society, including Maya Angelou, Richard Petty and Willie Nelson.

Aside from telling stories, Bob’s creativity can be seen through the various soundtracks he has written and recorded. More so, when Bob isn’t at the news desk, you can find him playing guitar with his small blues band.
