It's officially fall, and with the changing of leaves and cooler weather comes a lot of North Carolinians' favorite state event, the North Carolina State Fair! Spectrum News has you covered for all information related to the 150th state fair including new rides and attractions, new food, park and parking maps, ticket information and hours. 




Visitors can enjoy roughly four new rides and several more new attractions this year including:

  • The State Fair Flyer - A new chairlift that soars above the midway and gives a great glimpse of all the rides and attractions below.
  • Our State Public House - Sponsored by Our State Magazine, the Public House will showcase 40 breweries and 40 wineries from across North Carolina. It's the first year the fair is offering wine and beer samples.
  • Team Rock: The Ninja Experience - This martial arts performing group has wowed audiences worldwide and is new to the fair this year.
  • ARCY Live! - ARCY will be painting one large scale mural a day this year.

This year, fair goers can try more than 20 new deep fried, sweet and savory creations. In addition to the new foods, visitors will be able to, for the first time ever, purchase flights of beer and wine to sample. Below is just a few of the new options:

  • Cheerwine funnel cake
  • Flamin' hot Cheetos roasted corn
  • Thanksgiving Eggroll
  • Deep fried bacon and cheese collard bites
  • Deep fried key lime pie bites

  • Advanced price (purchased before Oct. 13): $10 for a sheet of 18 ride tickets 
  • Regular price: $1 per ticket OR $18 for a sheet of 18 tickets online

RIDE WRISTBANDS *Ride an unlimited amount of times for one day with a wristband

  • $25 online only from Aug. 1 - Oct. 12
  • $35 online once the fair begins, or purchased at a midway ticket booth
